Our headquarters is in Holly Springs, NC, but our team is spread throughout the United States. We share a “virtual office”, and working with cloud-based tools is what allows us to help companies wherever they happen to be in the country.

Each of our programs are completely customized to meet the needs of our clients. We have basic bookkeeping packages that start at $100 per month, but since most of our clients are interested in a custom mix of skills and frequency we don’t have defined pricing packages. Instead we will gladly work with you to put together the right package for your company (and we offer a free initial consultation to determine this)

Outsourcing your accounting department is typically less expensive than hiring a full time staff—for instance we can provide all the accounting functions you need on an as-needed basis for about the same price that you would pay for an experienced Controller.

We also price our work at a fixed monthly fee so there are no surprises when you get your bill.

The majority of our clients elect to have us auto draft their account monthly. We do accept check, ACH or credit card as well.

We will design a software stack that is fully available and secure online. While we do have access to review your transactions and even make bill payments on your behalf, we always ensure that we have appropriate notification, approval and sign-off.

There are a host of standard financial reports including profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow, AR and AP summary to name a few. In addition to that we offer a completely custom reporting experience. Whether you need a comparison of product sales across stores, or a comparison of new customers vs. returning customers or a labor utilization report. Our team will work with you to understand what your business and create the reports that will help drive your data-driven decision-making to reach your goals.

There will always be a lead person on your account that will serve as your main point of contact. We want to build true partnerships so your account person will communicate with you in a variety of ways including email, phone, text, instant message—whatever works best for you. Weekly or monthly calls will be scheduled in advance and done via online meeting (video call).

You will always have a single main point of contact. That person will be dependent on the level of services that you are seeking from Tech Savvy CFO. However, when you work with us you get an outsourced finance and accounting team so you may have interactions with several team members just like you would if we were all sitting in the same office.

Zoho Books and Quickbooks Online are the primary accounting systems that we support.

The first step in the process is an initial consultation, this will consist of a 30 minute phone call to understand the general size of your business and scope of work that you are looking to get done. This call will cover things like your business structure, your products or services that you offer and where you sell them the current challenges that you are facing and the level of involvement that you want Tech Savvy CFO to have.

After the initial call and depending on the outcomes will determine the onboarding experiences. The first month of onboarding is where we get the operating procedures established. This will include things like data handoffs and approval configurations, bill payment and payroll schedules reporting requirements and frequency etc.

Our founder Adam Gilpatrick has a degree in accounting and 20 years of experience in accounting and finance including Controller roles and VP roles in both accounting and finance. Adam has also owned multiple franchise businesses and real estate investment. 

Each of our staff are also extensively trained in Zoho and Quickbooks online. We are trained in sales tax compliance and our partnership with Avalara enhances that training and qualifications.

Tech Savvy CFO can supplement your existing staff whether you need someone to handle some of the mundane data entry tasks because you already have the leadership expertise that you need. Or maybe you need some controller and CFO level guidance to enhance your existing capabilities. Think of Tech Savvy CFO as an extension of your team that can help you grow in whatever way you need.

There is always a set of standard financial reports that will be sent on a monthly basis. In addition to that, things like AR and AP agings will be sent out weekly and in Excel or PDF format (whichever you choose). Custom reporting dashboards will be created and shared online. Those reports require a login to ensure security.

Custom report refresh will be determined during report design and will be based on availability of data. Some of our reports are updated real time or daily while others might make sense to review on a weekly basis. Because it is 100% custom we make the reports to fit the business need and desired outcome.
